Swordfish is awesome. Try the Alligator Cheesecake. Not a cheesecake but more of a quiche of awesomeness.

Nice restaurant with some unique dishes. Great small pub atmosphere in the back. Also a party room and lots of outdoor sitting and games.Good variety of craft beers. Very friendly staff.

Most of the food was good, except the baked beans were burnt and you could taste it.

What a gem this place is! Our bartender, Paul, outstanding. I loved the decor of this restaurant. The food was wonderful. I had trout with a crabcake & fresh vegetables. My husband had a trout pasta. Both were amazing in freshness & flavors. This had to be one of the best meals I've had anywhere. We were amazed at how quickly we got this food too especially since the parking lot was packed. I even enjoyed the background music. Great evening. Thanks!

Pretty decent seafood that is reasonably priced, service was good, very loud though so not a place for a 1st date as in if u want to have convos, gr8 for large grps though..... never disappointed when I go here at all....

This place was absolutely amazing and the staff was incredible.. I'm so glad we found this place. The food and drinks were on point. The bartender knows what's hes doing for sure. I will definitely be returning for more!!

Seems to stay fairly busy. Hunter was a great server that took care of us well. I got the seafood platter with shrimp and oysters for 17.99. I was hoping for a little more shrimp and oysters food at that price, but it was still pretty good and filling (had about 6 each). Felt a little pricy but it was good. Side note: the table next to us did find a foreign object in one of their meals... I saw a gentleman, whom I presumed was a manager go speak with the table.

Great food and fantastic service! We had a very large party but called ahead, we were seated immediately and the server was fantastic. Drinks, appetizers and food were all great and relatively quick. Will definitely be back

Great Southern seafood with good variety. Fantastic and extensive beer list.I had the spicy crab balls, which I really enjoyed. The fried oyster salad with house dressing made it a good meal.

Awesome! First time here it was great! Perfectly battered and fried food, nothing was overcooked. Service was excellent. We live 45 minutes away and will definitely be back.

Second time visiting from Lexington, SC. Great experience! Scott greeted us like old friends and took care of us from beginning to end. Shrimp and catfish was excellent and just the right portion for lunch. Love the environment.

It was a delious meal of grilled oysters, bacon wrapped scallops and the picture is Alligator Cheesecake, it's savory taste with the sauce is one everyone should experience.

So overrated. Evening started out great. I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops entree which was not fresh. When asked what were my options in replacing my dish....I was told "we're sorry you don't like it." My first and last time. Makes me wonder about the other reviews, fake maybe?

Visited based on a recommendation. There seem to be more specials than menu items. We had the mahi and the grooper fixed with a cajun sauce. Both we're excellent.

We have no complaints about Palmetto Oyster House, the service was great, we were just very limited on what we could eat, it's just not our cup of tea. Make sure you look at the menu before you go. If you like what you see, you will enjoy yourself.

A great gem find for great seafood and friendly customer service. Don't miss the Mango Lobster Tacos, oh goodness were they good.

Loved the food. It was a rainy afternoon today so we didn't get to enjoy all they have to offer. My husband loved his lobster po'boy. My dad and I enjoyed our perfectly cooked steaks. Mom said her seafood platter was great. The only item we didn't like were the green beans. They had a slightly bitter taste. Overall it was a wonderful family dinner. We will be back!

I had the crab cake tacos. They were a nice size a little salty but overall good.

The service was quick, and very friendly and the food was excellent. I ordered the fish tacos and they were very tasty. Next time I am in the area I definately plan on stopping by again.

Not the cheapest place around but it is well worth it. Awesome selection of beer, amazing food. I definitely recommend you try the alagator cheesecake. 🤤

We drive from Darlington to sumter at least once a month to eat here. We love the buffalo shrimp. Best anywhere.

Great beer selection the entrees are delicious, outside seating available and they have super friendly staff my one minor compliant are some of the sides (veggie sides) that are offered with the entrees are basically an after thought and it shows. Once again, very minor and this is one of my favorite places in Sumter.

My last review wasn't good, but last night's 5l21l19 was great. The oystsrs we're cooked perfect as we're the fries. The coleslaw was great also. Our server was one of the best that I've had anywhere. All in all a wonderful experience.

Meh. Lightning fast service...I honestly don't know how they are preparing the food that fast and still cooking it. Never seen plain raw oysters on a plate without the halfshell, but that's how they came. Truthfully I'm not an oyster connoisseur, but that surprised me. Pretty pricey too.

The PO House has a great selection of beer, the crab legs are great and the staff is always friendly.
